The recruiting efforts for 2009 census taker jobs has ended; however, the peak recruitment effort begins in the fall of 2009, with the majority of hiring taking place in the spring of 2010.
If you would like to prepare for the upcoming recruitment effort, you may download and print the Census Practice Test. The practice test is similar to the actual test, which measures basic skills, abilities, and knowledge required to perform a variety of census jobs.
If you have already applied for a census taker job, your application will remain active and you do not need to reapply. However, if you need to update your contact information provided on your application, you may do so by calling our toll-free Jobs Line at 1-866-861-2010 where you will be routed to your Local Census Office.
